Annual Sports Day
– Celebrating Strength, Spirit, and Sportsmanship
At WeCan Schools, we follow a thoughtfully crafted curriculum that emphasizes the holistic development of every child. Our founder strongly advocates for a balanced life—where healthy meals, regular exercise, and mindfulness are integral to productivity and personal well-being.
Research supports that students engaged in daily physical activity demonstrate improved concentration, stronger academic performance, and better behavioral outcomes. Guided by this belief, WeCan Schools host an Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm each year.
The event begins with the ceremonial torch lighting by young torchbearers from the primary wing, followed by an oath for fair play and a spirit of true sportsmanship. The grand march past and synchronized yoga drills are among the highlights—reflecting our students’ discipline, coordination, and focus.
All sporting activities are age-appropriate, theme-based, and skill-enhancing. Events include creative races such as ball & cone, hoopla skipping, long jump, army race, sprints from 100m to 400m, and exciting relays—all carefully designed to bring out the best in our students.
The day is a vibrant blend of energy, color, and healthy competition. Every athlete is cheered on and recognized, with medals and certificates awarded to the winners. Culminating the celebration is the prestigious WeCan Trophy of the Year, presented to the house with the highest overall score.
Sports Day at WeCan is more than just an event—it’s a powerful reminder of the importance of physical fitness, teamwork, and the spirit to keep going.
