Aqueel Khan stands out amongst his counterparts not just for his brilliant administrative leadership but exemplary developmental initiatives and his deep commitment to the lives of poor through supporting educational endeavours. He studied from Saint Xavier Jaipur and pursued his higher education from the Delhi University in International Relations. He has a passion for value-based education, which has been the driving force of his life.
He founded WeCan with handful of his students in the year 2003. His rich work experience includes working in close association with the Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Minister of Road Transport & Highways and the Railways Minister in the Government of India. He has also worked as executive magistrate at various key positions in the Government of Rajasthan.
His deep commitment towards public service let him to work with Rajasthan’s Rural Livelihood Mission, where he represented India and presented a country paper on Governance in Micro Credit Delivery System for Rural Development in presence of representatives from 14 countries in Bangladesh. His insights into public policy made him to participate in the Quadrennial Comprehensive Policy Review (QCPR) training series by United Nations Institute for Training & Research (UNITAR) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York recently.
Presently, he is posted as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in one of the most backward rural tribal sub-divisions of the country and delivering quality policy formulation, execution and monitoring inputs to all the government schemes and departments.
